Why we love the plus size Helium Rain Jacket
Finding waterproof coats that fit women's plus size bodies has always been a huge struggle. Outdoor Research worked with Unlikely Hikers in the US to re-create the patterns for their best selling products, using measurements from real plus size people. This means the arms aren't ridiculously long, the trouser rise works for bigger bums, and overall, the coats are shaped to fit the different proportions of plus size bodies. Hurrah! A waterproof coat that fits at last.
We particularly love the Helium for its lightweight approach - which means it's highly packable and particularly ideal as a summer shower shield, or for long distance adventures where reducing your backpack weight is important.
