The Problem with Ordinary Detergents

Conventional detergents and fabric softeners leave hydrophobic residues that clog synthetic fibres, reducing wicking capability and trapping odours. Nikwax BaseWash is specifically formulated to remove these residues and restore your activewear to peak performance.

How to Use – Washing Machine

1. Place item(s) in the washing machine.
2. Add 50ml of Nikwax BaseWash® to the detergent dispenser.
3. Wash according to the garment care label.

Important: Shake well before use. Do not use fabric softener. Do not use on waterproof clothing. Apply undiluted to treat stubborn stains before washing.

How to Use – By Hand

1. Immerse item(s) in 7.5L of warm water.
2. Add 25ml of Nikwax BaseWash®.
3. Agitate to mix, soak for 5 minutes, then agitate thoroughly.
4. Rinse with cold water until water runs clear.

Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if the care label permits.

For merino wool base layers, use Nikwax Wool Wash instead.
