Why Use Nikwax Tech Wash®?
Conventional detergents leave hydrophilic residues that block DWR, causing your jacket to absorb water and lose up to 70% of its breathability. Nikwax Tech Wash® safely removes these residues, revitalises existing DWR, and keeps you warmer and drier on the trail. With regular use, you can clean your gear 5–6 times before re-waterproofing is needed.
How to Use – Washing Machine
Clear all detergent residue from the dispenser drawer.
Place up to 2 garments in the machine.
Add 150ml (medium/hard water) or 100ml (soft water).
Run a 30°C synthetic cycle on a slow spin.
How to Use – By Hand
Immerse items in 7.5L of warm water.
Add 150ml (medium/hard water) or 100ml (soft water) for 1–2 items.
Agitate, then rinse 3 times in clean water.
Tip: Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting. Do not dry before re-waterproofing if needed.
